Saguaro Man Playa Cleanup Day

Saturday, March 28th!
The City of Willcox is taking volunteers to come clean up! That gives you the opportunity to see the future playa and do your part in making it better than when we got there.
You do NOT have to sign up to show up. Our LNT team has already done that for us. Mama Squishee (our LNT Lead) will also have grabbers and trash bags to use. Please do the speed limit!
Meeting at Railroad Park at 7 am for a quick safety briefing and getting your trash bag. We will then go to the Saguaro Man Playa. If you need to come later, just meet us at the gate and someone will help.
Did you know you can enter “Saguaro Man Playa” into your navigation system or search engine and you will find the location of…..wait for it…. the 2026 Saguaro Man Playa! That’s right. Go read and leave a review!
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Saturday, March 28th. Willcox. If you’re on Facebook, RSVP here and share/invite.

Feral Rose – Doomsday Disco

Burning Man Project: Regional Contacts Search

Interviews were completed during the last week of February, and the interview team has provided Burning Man Project with their recommendations. Burning Man Project’s Regional Network Team is now in the process of making the final decision and communicating with the candidates. This will be followed by a month-long onboarding process. Once the onboarding is complete, which should be around the end of March/early April, Burning Man Project Regional Network Team will announce the new RC’s to our community. We do anticipate that at least some of the new RC’s will be at Saguaro Man, and are organizing a “Meet & Greet” time at Center Camp on Thursday, April 23rd, along with the AZ Burners Board and a community conversation about our land.
We are grateful for the 7 community members who raised their hand and the work done by the interview team. Thank you!
Town Hall Recap

Thanks to the Tucson Burners who showed up in person, to the members of our community who showed up on zoom, and to the owners of Poe’s for providing a cool venue for our March Town Hall! The Zoom recording is available on our website at https://azburners.org/town-hall/, and Lars Olsen’s in-person recording will be posted soon.
More ideas surfaced regarding what to do with the land we own in Willcox, and that conversation will continue at Saguaro Man Center Camp on Thursday, March 23rd, between noon and 1:50pm. Hope to see you there!
In the meantime, here are pics of the inputs from the group. One poster is gratitude that was shared and the other contains ideas people shared regarding what to do with Landy McLandface.
Our next Town Hall will be in Phoenix on November 15th.
